This coming week is the last fall break I will have before graduating. In the past I've been extremely , excited about fall break but this time im not only excited but also beyond relieved that I'm one step closer to gaining an degree after all these years of hard work and persistence . Even though I always knew I'd graduate eventually, I still had doubt that these years would fly by like they have and I'd still be here . It literally, feels like just yesterday I was only a little freshmen enjoying my first fall break and was mainly focused on the moment and creating life long memories. This time is a different experience because even though I will still have a great time and fun break like all my past three fall breaks ,this one is more of a reflection time. All I can think about at this point is all the stuff I had to do and go through to get this far in life and whats next after this semester for me.
During this break I will most definitely not be indoors at all given that the weather is absolutely perfect in the desert . I most likely will probably go fishing or do anything outdoors with this mini break of a few days that we have. Every break in the past was more of a celebration and a time to kind of wild out. This time is more special than past fall breaks, as this time is a time to make sure my graduation checklist is on point and to absolutely make sure enjoy the desert before I leave in January for The Bay Area .
Greetings Hameed,
ReplyDeletethe weather is perfect in the desert specially in near the border with Arizona and the Mexican state ... Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (sometimes called the Glamis Dunes). Me and my friends went camping over there for the fall break last year. I would recommend it for you if you had the chance to go. There are so many activities you can do. Like riding motorcycles and ATVS, Also watching the modified cars that hits the sand and fly in it. It was an awesome break for us to change. Hope you enjoy your fall break.
Many thanks,
Omran
Hey Hameed,
ReplyDeleteIt was great running into you the other day at the downtown campus with Denise. I too feel the same way you do in that I am planning to utilize the great weather in this area to do things outdoors. It is becoming a really exciting time as it gets closer to graduation and I am looking forward to collaborating with you in the future!
Yes, fall breaks are always well needed. I actually went to the bay area to visit my family during break. There is a huge difference in living out there verses living out here. Congrats on graduating soon. I know what you mean, those years fly by. Good Luck to you and your endeavors.
