Last week I was able to attend some events provided during Career Week at ASU. I found this week to be very helpful in preparation for life after college. I was able to learn more valuable job tools and understand more of what kind of options are available to me. At this point in time im still looking into graduate school or good job after college. Career Week at ASU served as a chance to network with individuals and companies that were present. Even though I wasn't able to find any opportunities after school , I was able to meet some very interesting people and learn more about the process of finding work after school. After last week I am even more certain that I will be looking to work for an non-profit agency or possibly local or state government. At this point im looking for an opportunity that allows me to interact with communities and really have the chance to understand current issues and possibilities. I wasn't able to find anything during Career Week but I did gain clarity, which is always helpful. I will most likely be going back to Career Services and see what else I should do to set myself up for sweet opportunity after school ends. I'm sure it will be hard to find the perfect opportunity, but I'm ready for the challenge!
That's awesome that your attended career week at ASU! I have never gone but I think it would be useful and helpful for finding work after school ends. I'm glad you got a lot out of it and were able to network with various employers. Your never know when a great opportunity will arise!

Networking and meeting people are very good leads to future employment. I like how your continuing to prepare yourself for potential employment. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteAttending career week leads to see what are the jobs are available after school but its not always the job that you are wanting and looking for is going to be there. As long as you have the acceptance of challenges its going to make your searching more narrow and finding the suitable job. good luck and wish you the best.
